Swimming is one of the best exercises we can do. It forces us to breathe deeply and increases the heart rate. Aerobic exercise strengthens the heart and builds endurance, and is said to be the only kind of exercise that burns fat. Swimming is more than just an aerobic workout, however. It exercises almost every muscle, which is not possible with most other forms of exercise. Best of all, swimming does not put excessive strain on the joints and bones. Swimming can be a great workout, even for older people or those recovering from injuries.
